Hotel Route-Inn Hikone

99% of the staff does not speak English but all are very friendly and try to help. The public bath was nice. Free breakfast was awesome. You can rent bikes to explore Hikone (there are only 2 though, and sometimes get used). Parking is free. The ramen restaurant near the hotel was excellent and there are 24 hour fast food options close by, and a 7/11. The room was pretty comfortable. Price was nice. They have a shuttle as well.

The hotel was clean, comfortable with a friendly staff. Rooms were compact and well maintained. There was a generous breakfast but with few concessions to Western dishes. Again the dinner choices were Japanese - but well-served and tasty

I stayed here en route on a driving trip and was very glad to check-in easily and find the room was clean and quiet. The hotel has an onsen but I didn't visit it so cannot comment, but the buffet breakfast was good with a variety of Western, Japanese, meat, fish and vegetarian options. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Free parking, near a mall (food court), communal baths (I didn`t know that until I had already used the one in the room), great breakfast, amazing value, there is a kettle, tea, coffee service in the lobby, quiet although the hotel was clearly full as it was a national holiday

Easy check in and check out. Good for an overnight stay or if you are only there during the evening and night. Rooms are spacious when compared to an APA in Tokyo. The breakfast is simple but has a lot of variety.

The staff are hard to fault, they were polite, friendly and helpful. The general aesthetic of the room (and hotel) were great. The breakfast was execellent both in terms of flavour and variety and things were well organized.

Easy to find . a bit far from the castle 🏰 excellent value for 💰 money the room is comfortable enough and the breakfast was adequate the staff we're very nice

Breakfast so good!!!!!!! Staff is nice!!!! Have shuttle bus to go to HIKONE station! (Have to book, just talk to staff is okay)

Good breakfast. Room are clean. I stayed on the 10th floor and the view is nice. The car parking lot is spacious enough.
